The Obama Boulevard TAP Card was initially released in May 2019, when Rodeo Road, which runs through Baldwin Hills, Crenshaw, and Leimert Park, was renamed President Barack Obama Boulevard. The renaming celebrated our 44th president and extended the consecutive stretch of roads named after presidents (Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Obama).
The card was so popular that after its first release through Metro Customer Centers, it was re-released in September of that year. We are now able to offer you this special-edition Collector's TAP Card through Metro Shop. Transit fans, don't miss this chance to complete your collection!
